Permit Notes
Food Truck Permits
You MUST send a current kitchen suppression report with the application; report must be within six months of the date of the event, or the permit will not be issued. Make sure your company that issues the suppression report is registered with the New Jersey State Division of Fire Safety.
Your fire extinguishers MUST be tagged and up to date; make sure you have a K fire extinguisher and an ABC fire extinguisher in the food truck.
You will need to send a CURRENT hood cleaning report - the report must be within six months of the date of the event, or the permit will not be issued.
Make sure your propane tanks are secured in your vehicle and the hoses are not worn or cracked between the tanks and the appliances.
Make sure that all appliances have knobs (grill, stove, etc.)
When setting up at any events the trucks must face each other, NOT be back to back.
Tent Permits
Your fire extinguishers MUST be tagged and up to date; make sure you have one ABC fire extinguisher, or more (K extinguisher), depending on what you are cooking.
Make sure your propane tanks are secured and the hoses are not worn or cracked between the tanks and the appliances.
Make sure that all the appliances have knobs (grill, stove, etc.)
There will be NO cooking under the tent(s).
Tents that are 900 Sq Ft will need a Type 1 permit.
